Roboto is a singing voice synthesizer. Write a melody in the piano roll, type a word on each note, and Roboto sings it. No samples are used: the voice comes from a glottal pulse source, five formant resonators and shaped noise for the consonants. An animated robot face follows the voice with its LED eyes and mouth, next to a live waveform and the lyrics lit in time.
