Most running apps hand you a stopwatch and assume you already know where you are going. Runners Unite starts with a blank map. Sketch a shape on it with your finger — a loop, a detour, a line down to the sea — and the app lays it onto real streets, pavements and paths. Then it shows you something quieter and just as useful: how many other people are out there at the same time as you. SKETCH THE ROUTE YOU FEEL LIKE Trace it with a finger.
