About Sayabashiri - Samurai Katana
Grip your iPhone like the hilt of a katana and draw it from your hip in one motion. Sayabashiri ("the blade leaving the scabbard") is an iai sword-drawing game that measures your slash with the iPhone's motion sensors and scores it. HOW TO PLAY 1. Tap "Start" 2. During the 5-4-3-2 countdown, hold the phone like a sword hilt at your left hip 3. Hold still on 1 4. When the phone vibrates and "Draw!" appears, draw, slash and stop Draw before the signal and it is a false start. Patience is part of iai. SCORED OUT OF 100 - Edge alignment (40): does the blade's axis stay true while you swing? - Speed (30): how sharp is the draw?
