Shesh Besh Club

For over two thousand years, backgammon has been played across the Mediterranean and beyond: in the coffeehouses of Istanbul, Tehran, Tel Aviv, and Beirut, over tea and friendly arguments. Around those tables the game is called shesh besh, every roll of the dice has a name, and every position has a lesson. Shesh Besh Club brings that table to your pocket. THE DAILY PUZZLE One hand-picked position every day. Read the board, pick your move, and see how it compares to the engine's best play, with your result scored as a win probability. A LIBRARY OF 100 PUZZLES Drill volumes organized by theme: holding games, priming, racing, bearing off, and more. Every puzzle is checked against a world-class backgammon engine, so the "best move" really is the best move. THE LEXICON Learn the traditional Turkish names of all 21 rolls, from Yak-Yak to Du-Shesh, with the story behind each one. Quiz yourself…
