The game now has a full 13-chapter story mode. The Old Builder guides the player, and golden lights and an arrow lead to every goal. Players name their own village at the start, and they can rename it any time. After the first chapter the village comes alive. The Build Book has 13 home designs, 13 decorations and 8 landmarks such as castles, a lighthouse and a windmill, and new designs unlock with level and new land. Homes earn rent automatically, the My Village panel tracks every home and its rent, and a Welcome Back panel pays out offline earnings. Villagers ask for help with small requests. The village can expand across 12 plots of land, each with its own landscape and wildlife.
