Somm Journal is a wine journal and a beginner's course in tasting, in one app. Most wine apps tell you what a crowd thought of a bottle. This one teaches you to judge it yourself, then shows you what your own palate keeps coming back to. HOW IT WORKS Log a wine using the same structured walkthrough professionals use — look, smell, taste, conclude — in plain language, with sliders anchored in words instead of jargon. It takes about a minute, and doing it the same way every time is what trains your palate.
