Speech Beach: Fluency Practice

Speech Beach is a practice tool for people who stutter. Put on headphones, start talking, and hear your own voice played back with a short delay (Delayed Auditory Feedback, DAF) and, if you like, a slightly shifted pitch (Frequency-Altered Feedback, FAF). Many people find that this kind of altered feedback helps them slow down and speak more smoothly. GUIDED PRACTICE Not sure what to practice? Nine guided exercises, from a warm-up and reading aloud to easy onsets, phrases with pauses and everyday situations, set the delay for you and tell you what to say. A delay ladder lowers the delay step by step, and a short check without feedback shows whether feedback actually helps you.
