tabasa is a blindfold chess puzzle trainer. Instead of a rendered board, you read the position as text — pieces, castling rights, en passant — and enter your moves. It is built for players who want to train visualization and pattern recognition directly, the way strong players calculate: in their head, not on a board. Each puzzle is rated, and your own rating adjusts as you solve, miss, or give up — so puzzles stay matched to your level automatically. Five difficulty settings let you aim easier or harder than your current rating at any time. tabasa works fully offline. The app ships with a local puzzle library, so you can start solving immediately after installing it — no account, no sign-in, no setup.
