Tally is a bookkeeping tool for Ethiopian shops, cafes, and service businesses. Your attendant scans the QR code on the customer's receipt, or types the reference by hand. Tally reads that receipt from the bank or the wallet, checks it against your own accounts, and records the sale. WHAT TALLY CHECKS - The bank has the receipt on record. - The money reached an account you own. - The amount is the amount you were told. - The receipt is fresh, and not an old one shown again. - The same receipt was not already used for another sale.
