The British Trail

The British Trail in Jerusalem is a unique initiative by the Dangoor family and the Jerusalem Foundation, inviting visitors on a fascinating journey through selected chapters in the story of Jerusalem’s British heritage. The trail offers a new way to discover Jerusalem through the stories, people, architecture and events that shaped the city during a period when the British presence and influence left a significant mark on it. The route takes visitors to 20 selected sites of historical, architectural and cultural significance. At each stop along the trail, visitors will find distinctive signage inspired by familiar icons of the British streetscape – medallions and post boxes inspired by Britain’s iconic red post boxes.
