Threshold: Reactive Dog Plan

Threshold is a week-by-week practice plan for a dog that lunges, barks, or freezes on walks. TODAY: ONE PRACTICE Today shows one practice for this dog: what it is for, and on a walk the distance to start at. Open it and the steps, when to end, and that practice's check are on one screen. Under the check: your dog can notice the other dog or person, take food with a soft mouth, look away, and keep a loose body. Eating alone is not enough. LOG IT IN TWO TAPS When you are back, tap Log it, then how it went: stayed easy, I left early, or they reacted. On a walk near a trigger, you log the distance in your own steps. It comes filled in from your last distance when that one stayed easy, or from your starting guess before you have logged one. After a distance that was too close, you pick a new one.
