Time as Shape

Time as Shape is a place to play with video as a three-dimensional object. Bring in a clip or record one. Stack its frames into a volume, fan them into a ring, then move around it and slice through time. Keep the bright parts, the dark parts or a particular colour. Luma, colour and saturation keys remove pixels from each frame, opening up gaps and tunnels through the volume. • Import a video or start with the included sample. • Adjust the length, frame density, time window and transparency. • Scrub through the footage or let it play. • Cut at different angles and pull the sections apart. • Sample a colour directly from your video to make a key. • Try vivid colour, black and white, or your own adjustments. • Record a trail of frames as you move your device through space. • Place a volume in your room with AR and use your device to cut into it. • Save studies on your device and come back…
