About TrailPing Signal
TrailPing Signal keeps, on your iPhone, the place where cellular service comes back during a hike or a ride. After a stretch with no service, it saves one signal pin where service returns. The HUD shows the straight-line distance and direction to that pin. Download a region first, and trails and peaks can appear with no connection. There is no account. Pins, tracks, and maps stay on the iPhone. Location is not sent to our servers. ■ How to use it 1. While online, open the map library and download your region. The list needs a connection once. One region is in use at a time. 2. On Record, turn on Signal pin or Track. Allow Location “Always” and Precise Location. The location indicator stays on while recording, including when locked. 3. A signal pin is saved only where cellular service returns after a dead zone. An existing signal does not create one. Wi-Fi alone does not either. 4.…
