Unmind - Beyond Thought

After having battled with social anxiety and depression for many years, I eventually stumbled upon spirituality. When I read my first spiritual book, I immediately felt "This is not for me." I couldn't do anything with it. So I put the book back into my bookshelf. Then, one fateful day, after suffering a panic attack, something drew me back to this book. I read it and immediately felt drawn to it. This time something in me said: "This is for me." I read it in one sitting. That marked the beginning of a journey through many more books and texts by spiritual teachers, modern and ancient. Many hours of meditation and exploring different meditation techniques. Going deeper and deeper into it. Eventually all came together and I began to see a common thread running through so many of these teachings: You are not your thoughts.
