Woodshed helps you practice more effectively, and capture song ideas the moment you have them. Practice is the mode where you put in the work—scales, difficult sections, and the gruntwork that makes a piece take shape. Tap once to record, then play. Woodshed gets out of the way while you practice, then catalogs your session so you can hear it later. It splits what you played. Name each bit once; next time, it suggests the match. Write is the mode where a song starts. Name an idea, record takes, jot a quick note. Just enough structure to shape an idea into a song. Your library keeps pieces, ideas, and sessions together so you can hear yourself improve over time. Audio stays on your device and in your iCloud. Microphone is the core feature; MIDI is optional. Crash reports and product analytics are on by default and can be turned off in Settings.
