WordsOS

WordsOS is a word processor for Mac, iPad and iPhone that opens and saves real Word documents — and keeps them on your device. REAL .DOCX, NOT AN APPROXIMATION Most apps that read .docx rebuild your document out of the parts they understand and quietly drop the rest. WordsOS keeps all of it. Anything it does not yet model — tracked changes, comments, footnotes, equations, charts, embedded objects — is carried through your edit and written back exactly as it arrived. Measured rather than claimed: across our own corpus, 50 of 50 real documents open, save and reopen with no semantic differences, and Word opens the result with no repair prompt. Opens and saves .docx, .dotx, .docm and .dotm. Plain text too — and it tells you plainly what formatting that costs. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE No account. No sign-in. No sync. No analytics. The Mac version does not even ask for the network…
