Zed.photos

Zed is a camera that makes you wait. You get one roll a week. Take a photo and it goes away to develop, the way film did, and it comes back the next morning. There is no burst, no filter, no retake. What you kept is what you saw. A WEEK'S WORTH OF EXPOSURES A finite roll changes what you point a camera at. When shots are countable, you stop photographing everything and start photographing something. DEVELOPS BY MORNING Photos reveal at dawn. You go to bed not knowing what you got, and you find out over coffee, which is most of the pleasure. A CIRCLE, NOT AN AUDIENCE Up to fifteen people, and only if you have both added each other. No followers, no counts, nothing to perform for. A MAP OF WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN Every photo is stamped with when and where. Over months the map fills in, and you get a record of a year that no camera roll gives you. QUESTIONS WORTH ANSWERING Zed asks you…
