ZORIA Sky

The sky keeps two appointments a day, and the moon a third. ZORIA tells you which ones are worth the trip. A SCORE, NOT A PROMISE ZORIA computes a 0-100 rating for every sunrise and every sunset, from Apple Weather data read at the exact hour of the event: low, mid and high cloud, humidity, visibility, chance of precipitation. The model is deliberately simple and openly stated. Mid and high clouds are the canvas that catches the light — the optimum sits around 50 % cover, because an empty sky has nothing to colour and an overcast sky has nothing to light. Low clouds cut the light at its source: they are what ruins a sunset. A sky forecast at 85 can disappoint. A sky forecast at 40 can surprise you.
